About the Author:  Rob Crandall grew up on the banks of the legendary Clackamas River in Oregon.  His love of steelhead fly fishing started at a young age.  Rob started guiding at age 18 and has held an Oregon guide license ever since.  Rob has also worked in fly shops and managed outdoor retail stores.  He has been on a number of TV shows over the years and has been a featured speaker at many of the largest Sportsman’s Shows on the west coast.

Rob was also the editor of Flyfishing & Tying Journal magazine.  Rob currently lives in Oregon City, OR with his wife, teenage son and his labrador retriever named Molly.
