{"id":11673,"date":"2012-11-19T17:57:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-19T17:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/watertimeoutfitters.com\/oregon-winter-steelhead-workshops\/"},"modified":"2012-11-19T17:57:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-19T17:57:00","slug":"oregon-winter-steelhead-workshops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watertimeoutfitters.com\/oregon-winter-steelhead-workshops\/","title":{"rendered":"Oregon Winter Steelhead Workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\">Want to catch a winter steelhead on the  <strong>Trask, Wilson, Clackamas, NF Nehalem, Neccanicum River or Eagle  Creek?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-F116nJPXMq4\/Tt2OJ7m4jXI\/AAAAAAAAAFU\/VV6e_0Q6bHw\/s1600\/DSC04675.JPG\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" closure_uid_nyroyh=\"2\" height=\"320\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-F116nJPXMq4\/Tt2OJ7m4jXI\/AAAAAAAAAFU\/VV6e_0Q6bHw\/s320\/DSC04675.JPG\" width=\"214\" \/><\/a>These workshops are designed to  get walk in fly anglers comfortable with a variety of spots and techniques that  will put them into fish on the Oregon&#8217;s best coastal  rivers.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\">Here is how it works.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>We start at the crack of 9:00 am at a  designated location near the water with coffee and donuts.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>We\u2019ll review maps that will give you at least  a dozen productive steelhead runs that you can drive and walk to often these are  spots we personally fish.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>With coffee in  hand we\u2019ll discuss the maps in detail.<o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-qCapMtVO8ss\/UKpyuums1GI\/AAAAAAAAAs8\/0-ciD52IhFw\/s1600\/DSC06244+(2).jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"261\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-qCapMtVO8ss\/UKpyuums1GI\/AAAAAAAAAs8\/0-ciD52IhFw\/s320\/DSC06244+(2).jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><br \/>Then when we\u2019ve  reached proper caffeine level we\u2019ll grab a bunch of gear and head out to fish a  few spots.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>At this time we cover: fishing  techniques, fishing strategy, fly selection and more.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>This is also time to talk about lines, rods  and rigging.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>We\u2019ll have plenty of spey  rods and nearly 20 fly lines for you to try out and get a feel for different  systems.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>We will have \u00bd dozen spey rods  and switch rods for you to try out and different lines to try on your own  rod.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"> <\/span>If you need some basic spey casting  lessons there is usually time for that as well.
