April Free Fly Casting Lessons and Big Fish!
Hello Fly Anglers,
This is such a great time of year with spring blooms starting and the spring and winter weather battling back and forth. This morning on the Clackamas river I heard the sounds of geese, ducks, quail, woodpeckers, osprey, bald eagles and a pile of song birds. Spring steelhead are arriving and won’t be long that trout season will be full on. What an amazing place we live!

FREE Fly Casting Class
Now is a great time to get out on the water and GET STARTED FLY FISHING! WTO is offering a FREE FLY CASTING LESSON with one of our expert casting instructors. Fly fishing is a blast but can be confusing. Let us help you get started in the fun, the right way.
This class is 1 hour, rain or shine and will start promptly on designated days at 12:30 pm on a Portland area river. You must be registered to participate. Bring your fly rod or use one of ours. This class has a limit of 6 spots and will fill up fast so invite your friends today!

Beginning Fly Fishing Class – on World Famous Deschutes River
Join us for a day of making memories and building a lasting foundation of fly fishing skills. Held on the banks of the best trout stream in Oregon this class gets you started the right way.
With our riverside instruction we give hands-on help covering a wide range of topics like rigging, fly casting, a study on bugs and what fish eat and fly fishing techniques. We get you on the water to fish for trout and coach you towards fly fishing success.

Congrats to client James Keyser who after starting with WTO spey casting lesson just about one year ago landed this dandy wild steelhead recently on an Oregon coastal river. He was using a #7 Sage X rod and a Crandall’s Provider fly pattern. Way to go James!
