2020 Oregon Winter Steelhead
Join us on Oregon’s best waters where remarkable Steelhead are found less than 2 hours from Portland, Oregon. We make it easy, hop in the boat and fish! When the water is cold and the weather isn’t much better, this is definitely the way it’s meant to be done on the Oregon Coast. We fish small, scenic streams and mid-sized rivers with huge fish. We can arrange accommodations for your group up to 6 anglers and you’ll find that between the fireplace, a great meal and a fantastic night’s sleep, this is your portal to the experience of winter Steelheading at its best.
From January through March is prime time for Oregon winter Steelhead rivers and we have piles of options even with low water, high water and in-between. We fish the best north coast streams and rivers where we float through the rain forests of the Oregon Coast, here deer and elk are common. This is a fishery anglers of all skill levels and mobility can enjoy! Our fishing strategies vary depending on water conditions and angler preferences. Our favorite strategy is to swing flies; the wading is generally easy and smaller gravel bars are the norm. We also use indicator strategies where we fish from whitewater rafts with well appointed fishing frames.
Our trips can accommodate groups up to 6 anglers with 2 anglers per boat. On the boat, we’ll have flies, any additional equipment-rods/reels needed, soft drinks, water and a hot lunch. Optimize your rest, relaxation and fishing time with this package that is focused on you, show up for fun and relax! Nothing beats telling fish tales around the fireplace at the end of the day! Trips vary from two days fishing up to to five days fishing- our most common trip is 3 or 4 days fishing.
